Colors influence concentration, well-being, and even the healing process. This is demonstrated by studies conducted by Prof. Dr. Axel Buether of the University of Wuppertal. Thanks to his color schemes for hospitals, people there are happier: staff members take fewer sick days, and patients require fewer sedatives.
Axel Buether has repeatedly broken new ground: He began his career as a stonemason, later worked as an architect, and designed a highly acclaimed multimedia pavilion for EXPO 2000 in Hanover. Today, he designs cancer wards, schools, and prisons in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland, and conducts research on color psychology.
