On Saturday, October 25, 2025, from 6:45 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., Prof. Dr. Axel Buether appeared as a guest on the NDR program “DAS! – Das Rote Sofa.” The focus of the discussion was his new book , *The Big Book of Color Psychology: What Colors Say About Us and How We Can Use Them in Our Lives*, published by Droemer Knaur.
This work demonstrates how color functions as the language of the soul —as a subtle yet powerful medium that influences our feelings, thoughts, and actions. Colors shape our perception of ourselves and our environment more strongly than any other sensory impression, thereby shaping our view of the reality of life.
Drawing on the latest psychological research, this book explains how colors can become a tool for conscious self-care and self-management —in everyday life, in our interactions with others, and in the design of personal spaces.
A particular focus is placed on the first scientifically based color-personality test, which reveals how individual color preferences are linked to personality traits, moods, and inner needs.
