Content and objectives

The seminar begins with the development of basic knowledge on the subject of “eLearning platforms”. In the second part, the content and structural concept of a task for the eLearning platform is developed. This includes a worksheet with literature references, a glossary and information on preparatory and further exercises. In the last part of the seminar, the concept for a specific educational film is created, which can then be implemented in a compact film workshop under expert supervision.

Summary of further research project “eDidactics platform”

The joint development of the new “eDidactics platform” is intended to enable a permanent transfer of current didactic, subject-specific and educational science findings on teaching and learning materials and teaching methods between the university and school learning locations. Teachers of design and science subjects can draw on the scientifically certified state of research at the school as a place of learning or when preparing and following up lessons and try out the suggested teaching strategies such as lesson plans, worksheets, educational films and educational games.

The interdisciplinary content is organized in the form of a spiral curriculum, which allows users to navigate clearly between simple and complex, basic and in-depth, subject-related and interdisciplinary content. The variety of teaching and learning materials on offer is intended to create an awareness of the complexity of the subject and at the same time arouse curiosity for creative browsing in fields of knowledge and application outside the subject area. The subject-related curriculum-oriented navigation, on the other hand, offers simple subject-related help with the preparation, planning, implementation and evaluation of lessons.

At the same time, all users can use the implemented feedback system to influence the qualitative improvement and further development  of the content, methods and materials offered or enter into professional and interdisciplinary dialog in the forum provided.  We hope that this will provide a productive form of discussion to improve the quality of teaching and learning materials, from which an interdisciplinary and cross-location educational network can develop.

In addition, an anonymized evaluation system and personal feedback will be used to identify teachers’ main areas of interest so that targeted further training courses, workshops and conferences can be offered at regular intervals.
