“Colors are non-verbal means of communication,” says Prof. Dr. Axel Buether, color researcher and expert. Let’s open our eyes and see colors! The world is colorful, colors give it contour and form, but we only consciously process one percent of it.

In an interview with Jutta Ribbrock, Axel Buether explains how we perceive colors. He describes how they control our behavior without us realizing it and what role they play in our health.

Above all, he reveals how colors affect our psyche and uses concrete examples to show how we can use this knowledge in our everyday lives: What is the best color to paint a child’s room? How can we strengthen ourselves with colors and increase our well-being in times of the corona pandemic? Which colors suit us? And does a color expert actually have a favorite color?
