The staging of the ordinary – the stuff of poetry
Poetry is the art of creation, which makes it one of the core competencies of every designer. Once you have discovered something special in the everyday, this becomes your theme, which you will further develop and visualize by staging a storyline.
The atmosphere or gesture amplifier – The form of poetry
The aim of the course is to produce a short photographic or filmic poem. Figurative metaphors and rhythmic sequences replace the rhyme and meter of word language. The poetic form of representation exaggerates the familiar or prosaic view of things, allowing the new to emerge more strongly.
We explore how our “associative memory” works by playing creatively with the relationships between the given words and your inner images.
